DME
Hospitals typically receive a global reimbursement fee for outpatient
treatment. But often, when a hospital dispenses DME for home use
as part of that treatment, it cannot bill for that DME item. The
result: unreimbursed costs that erode profitability.
To be eligible for DME reimbursement, Medicare requires separate
provider status. Even when hospitals are allowed to bill separately
for DME, the complexity of the process puts a strain on emergency
rooms, hospital-affiliated outpatient centers, and others.
Eliminate outpatient DME costs
Now, hospitals can outsource costly DME fulfillment to a trusted
provider – The Training Room. Through our field-tested model,
we assume traditionally unprofitable DME functions, generating significant
cost savings while saving your staff time. Among the program’s
services:

clinics

brace fittings and deliver OTS supports for inpatient services

plus home delivery of select products
